Churchill Fellows Association Churchill Chat and lunch
11.00am, Sunday 26 May 2019
The British Hotel, 58 Finniss Street, North Adelaide 5006
Churchill Chats have often involved something ‘tangible’ to show and tell but, following the success last year of bringing together a panel of Fellows to discuss their work in the area of domestic and family violence, we are delighted to advertise a health-themed Chat. Fellows from across three decades will present on topics ranging from autologous blood services, tobacco control projects, and models of care for young people with cancer.
- Dr Richard Davis MBBS, FFARACS, FANZCA, CF (1980) – To study overseas developments in blood banking, particularly Autologous Blood Services - UK, Sweden, Denmark, Germany
- Chris Morris BSocSc, MPH, FPHAA, CF (1997) - To investigate tobacco control projects for young people - USA, Canada
- Maeve Downes CF (2007) - The Dorothea Sandars and Irene Lee Churchill Fellowship to study strategies and models of care used by the world's leading health care professionals in improving adolescent and young adult cancer care - U.K., Ireland, USA, Canada
Our Fellows continue to make a considerable contribution towards improving community health and wellbeing. As such, we encourage you to come along and hear first-hand what these Churchill Fellows have done, and continue to do, in these areas.
The presentations will be followed by lunch at the British Hotel.
